We did have to play outside during this concert season after all. The Market Street event, on Thursdays in Newhall was the setting for our one outside concert.

Joel wasn't available, but Tori was able to fill in. Without being able to attend any of the rehearsals we anticipated some rough spots, so Eric graciously also stepped forward to help fill in. And yes, that's me again filling in on Viola.

We were fortunate to include two new very talented members. Brianna played a concert with us after only three rehearsals, and Karlie had to figure out a whole series of new music and did an OUTSTANDING job.

Here in one shot are our finest violinists (even if one is playing cello temporarily). And a bit later, I picked up a violin so that I could play along (must have been a song that didn't really require a viola).

We added reading 'twas The Night Before Christmas ... and here our little ones showed how sugar plums "danced in their heads." And look Eric is back on violin, even if it is only temporary.

It was really nice having both technical violinists at this concert. It made it possible to pull Eric onto cello without leaving any real gaps!
And while it stared out warm, as the sun began to set, it set our teeth a chattering. Many were looking for their coats, and gloves and all were really glad for zippers!
